Our roadmap is designed for individuals with average anxiety cases and provides an overview of the steps involved in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) treatment. Our roadmap is intended to provide a general framework for the therapy process and to give you an idea of what to expect as you move through treatment. Roadmap

It is important to note that this is just one example of a possible CBT session roadmap for anxiety. The specific content and structure of each session will vary depending on your symptoms and needs. Your therapist will work 
collaboratively with you to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses your unique situation.

Session 1-3

Assessment and Psychoeducation

  • Your therapist gathers information about your anxiety symptoms, triggers, and coping strategies.

  • Your therapist explains the CBT approach and the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. They provide an overview of anxiety and how it affects the body and mind.

Session 7-9

Relaxation Techniques

  • Your therapist will review the information gathered in the previous session and discuss any homework assigned with you.

  • Your therapist will teach you various relaxation techniques, such as deep breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, and visualization.

Session 14-15

Behavioral Activation

  • Your therapist will review the information gathered in the previous session and discuss any homework assigned with you.

  • Your therapist will help you identify activities you have been avoiding due to anxiety and encourages them to engage in these activities. 

  • Your therapist will work on developing a plan to gradually increase participation in activities with you.

Session 4-6

Cognitive Restructuring

  • Your therapist will review the information gathered in the previous session and discuss any homework assigned with you.

  • Your therapist will help you identify thinking traps and challenge negative thoughts that contribute to anxiety. 

  • Your therapist will teach you to reframe your thoughts in a more positive and realistic way.

Session 10-13

Exposure Therapy

  • Your therapist will review the information gathered in the previous session and discuss any homework assigned with you.

  • Your therapist introduces the concept of exposure therapy and helps you develop a hierarchy of feared situations. 

  • Your therapist will teach you coping skills to manage anxiety during exposure. exercises.

Session 16

Review and Wrap-Up

  • Your therapist will review progress made in therapy and any remaining goals with you.

  • Your therapist summarizes the skills and techniques learned in therapy and provides recommendations for ongoing self-care. 

  • Your therapist discusses strategies for maintaining progress and preventing relapse.
